The 2023 vintage was crafted from high-quality rice grown under challenging conditions of intense heat and drought. The result is a sake with a smooth, expressive character. While initially delicate and reserved, it gradually reveals its depth through aging—showing rich complexity after a year and the potential for even greater refinement over time. Kamoshibito Kuheiji: L’Éclat du Terroir Vintage 2023 is a sake to enjoy now and into the future.

This sake seems to surrender to nature, yet it conveys a certain inner strength. At first, it was difficult and unapproachable, but with time, it began to reveal its depth and character. About a year after its creation, the distinct qualities of the rice come through clearly, along with a signature smooth texture—a hallmark of our organic sake. Still, a sense of innocence lingers, leaving us to wonder: when will it truly peak? Perhaps in three years, or five. Like a living being, it continues to evolve. We invite you to enjoy it now, and to look forward to the refined expression it will show in the years to come.
